The purpose of CrossPoint Community Church is to lovingly lead people to a deeper, fuller, higher expression of life in Jesus Christ.
* Evangelizing the unconverted * Encouraging the membership * Equipping the followers of Jesus * Expending the effort to serve * Expanding the Kingdom through reproduction * Expressing thanks for changed lives.
We envision a regional church where people from every walk of life, who themselves have encountered God in life changing ways, make intentional efforts to share the hope of restoration with others; a place of celebration not condemnation; challenge not complacency.
We envision a community of warriors committed to the global expansion of God’s kingdom; where preparation for and participation in bold mission ventures is considered a normal expression of the Christ life.
We envision a center where those who are abused and neglected find a safe haven; where the aimless find direction in life and those who have fallen find a hand to help them up.
We envision an education complex in which families in the surrounding communities entrust the educational welfare of their children: providing not just a well-rounded education experience but also serving as a launching pad for further ministry involvement. We further see this complex active in developing leaders and mentors for a new generation: carrying the Christ-light into their circles of influence.
Love. Love has everything to do with "who" we are and "what" we do! Without it we are just going through the motions. (Matthew 22:37-40)
Intentional Relational Evangelism. Without apology, by the authority of Jesus Christ and in the power of the Holy Spirit, we go in confident obedience to accomplish our Lord’s Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20); looking with the eyes of the Savior at our “Jerusalem” and beyond (Luke 24:47-48; Acts 1:8); and remembering He came to save, heal, and deliver: we cannot do anything less (Luke 4:18.)
Prayer.
The logical first response. (Phil. 4:6)The Centrality of God’s Word. God’s word is central to our existence and foundational to all our ministries. (2 Tim. 3:16, James 1:22)
Meaningful praise and worship. As the object of His sacrificial love, His followers should acknowledge His prominence in their life in lively yet reverent ways. (John 4:24, 1 Cor. 14)
A grace orientation to life. Who is there to cast the first stone? (Gal. 6:1-5; James 5:19-20)
Strong relationships (fellowship, community, families). Investing all that we are into the culture around us. Permeating our circles of influence with the glory of God. (Acts 2:44-46)
Maturity within the Body. Committed followers of the Lord Jesus Christ who are consistent in their walk and witness and see their life as an ongoing, growing relationship with Him. (2 Cor. 8:5, Col. 2:6) Spiritually-gifted people functioning at every level, with the welfare of the Body of Christ in their heart. (Eph. 4:11-12)
Creativity and innovation. While honoring the traditions of the past, we will strive towards new and invigorating methods of presenting the gospel. (Luke 5:33-39, Prov. 18:15)
Risk (challenge). Ministering in confidence despite the size of the opposition. (Acts 15:26, Romans 8:31-39)
The “Question.” We investigate, challenge and question, not for the sake of argument, but for understanding.
